We've designed "Writing To The Point" to help our students achieve business writing that is clear, concise, and engaging. In this 2-hour workshop, we will review some important foundational writing guidelines, as well as some commonly made errors and pitfalls that get in the way of writing that is mean, lean, and effective.
We'll focus on techniques that will empower the students to keep their writing goals and expected results in mind, including organizing principles, self-editing and revision, and how to edit for both brevity and clarity. We will take a look at email (and IM) etiquette and how to use email most effectively in building business relationships and will briefly review other common business documents such as business proposals and executive summaries.
