WordPress enables you to create and maintain a website, even if you have no web design background or knowledge of the code that makes website works. WordPress is built with HTML, CSS, and PHP, so web developers who do know code have even greater control over WordPress sites. Whether you want to create a new website/blog or manage an existing WordPress website, this class is for you.
If you design or code websites, knowing how to use WordPress is essential as many of the websites you design or build are likely to use (or should use) WordPress. WordPress drives over 40% of all websites because it provides loads of functionality and the ability to create themes (templates) to control the look and feel and and functionality of a website. The people you build websites for will want to edit the content (text, images, etc.) and WordPress will enable them to do so without having to know coding.
In this class you’ll learn how to create pages, edit content, and see how your clients will interact with WordPress when creating and editing content. You’ll also learn how to control the layout, appearance, and functionality of WordPress sites using easy to use tools that don’t require coding knowledge, as well as when to use code for even greater control.
As one of our smaller courses, tuition for this course is due in full before the start date. The best way to save on this course is to take it as part of a certificate program.
There are no extra fees or taxes for our courses. The price you see on this page is the maximum you’ll pay us.
However, if you plan to take the course live online, you may need to obtain required software. We’ll help you get set up with a free trial of paid software prior to the class. Most of our coding classes utilize freely-available open-source software. For most of our design and motion graphics courses, we will help you get set up with a free trial of Adobe Creative Cloud. If you attend the course in-person, we will have a computer already set up for you with all of the required software for no additional cost.
