In Effective Business Writing, you'll learn how to write professional emails and other standard business documents that get results. First, you'll learn key strategies to write effectively. Then, you'll develop a variety of business documents throughout the course, including emails, proposals, and letters.
The course begins with an introduction to writing compelling sentences, structuring the content, and determining your target audience. In each lesson, you'll review examples of effective business communication and write your own. By the end of Effective Business Writing, you'll be able to write anything from bad-news memos to proposals and thank you notes.

The Grammar and Advanced Business Writing course will take your English writing skills to the next level, wherever you start. The content is very thorough and adapts to the various levels I have seen in other participants in the class. I believe my writing skills were already at an advanced level and I have still improved a lot. My instructor Grace Hochheiser was fantastic, very punctual, and sharp on following the material, yet able to adapt to each student and provide individual guidance. She is also good at establishing rapport and creating a great learning environment.

Attend this course in-person in NYC or Live Online via Zoom. Engage with expert instructors, ask questions, and get feedback on your exercises and projects.
Unlike other providers, these are not mass open-enrollment classes. At NYC Career Centers, you’ll learn in small groups (typically 8-15 students) and receive personalized attention.
Get face-to-face interaction with an instructor and other students when you learn at our NYC campus. Courses are hands-on with a computer and software provided.
Get the same interactivity and access to the instructor as in-person students. There are no extra fees and we’ll work with you to ensure your remote setup is perfect.
